The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has today approved a new Central Sector Scheme “PM Vishwakarma” for a period of five years (FY 2023-24 to FY 2027-28) with a financial outlay of Rs.13,000 crore. PM Vishwakarma Yojana aims to strengthen and nurture the guru-shishya tradition or the family-based practice of traditional skills by artisans and craftsmen working with their own hands and tools. The scheme aims to improve the accessibility as well as quality of artisan and artisan products and services and ensure that Vishwakarmas are integrated with domestic and global value chains.

5-7 days (40 hours) basic training after skill verification

Loan assistance:

Pm Vishwakarma Yojana: PM Vishwakarma Yojana eligibility

PM Vishwakarma Yojana a hand and tool worker in the unorganized sector on the basis of self-employment and an artisan or craftsman engaged in one of the 18 family-based traditional occupations mentioned in the scheme will be eligible for registration under PM Vishwakarma.
