PM Kusum Sarkari Yojana 2024 -: The government is giving solar pumps on subsidy to 54 thousand farmers, apply here -Subsidy on Solar Pump UP: solar pumps are given to farmers on grants through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Aur Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM Kusum Yojana) scheme so that farmers can irrigate the crop without any hassle and reduce the cost of irrigation. Under the PM Kusum Yojana scheme, solar pumps are given to farmers on grants by different state governments by setting targets, for this, applications are also sought from farmers from time to time by the Agriculture Department. In this episode, The Uttar Pradesh government has sought applications for providing solar pumps on grants from farmers of different districts under PM Kusum Yojana in the year 2024-25 between February 27 and 29. The application process for solar pump under the scheme has already been started by the Department on 27th February 2024 from 12.00 pm. Interested farmers can apply online on the departmental website of the Department of Agriculture to avail solar pumps on subsidy.
Farmers can apply from February 27
Under the Prime Minister Kisan Urja Suraksha and Utthan Mahabhiyan (pm Kusum) scheme, solar pumps will be provided to 54 thousand farmers of the state on a grant by the Yogi government. Under the scheme, farmers can start continuous application for solar pump from February 27 from three different days. Under PM Kusum Yojana, farmers from all districts of Chitrakoot Dham, Varanasi, Meerut, Prayagraj, Bareilly and Kanpur mandals can apply online from 12 noon on the departmental website. From February 28, farmers from all districts under Saharanpur, Moradabad, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Mirzapur and Basti mandals can start applications. From February 29, 2024, farmers from all districts of Agra, Jhansi, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and Devipatan mandals can apply on the departmental portal for online booking of solar pump on Grant.
Farmers will get grants on these types of solar pumps
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Aur Utthan Mahabhiyan Yojana (PM Kusum Yojana), 54 thousand farmers of Uttar Pradesh will be given grants from the central and state governments on 9 types of solar pumps. For this, farmers of all 18 mandals of the state will have to apply online. Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, a subsidy of up to 60 per cent is given for solar pumps. At the same time, topup grants are also given to farmers separately by several state governments on this. Farmers need to deposit token money online
The farmers will be booked on the principle of “first come-first serve” up to 110 per cent above the target limit of the district. Farmers will have to deposit 5 thousand tokens online as money with online booking. This amount will be given to the farmers at the time of online application. Farmers to avail pm Kusum Yojana

General guidelines for solar pumps
Under the scheme, it is mandatory for 2 HP solar pumps to have 4 inches, 3 and 5 hp to have 6 inches and 7.5 HP and 10 HP pumps to have 8 inches of boring.
The farmer’s own will be boring. The token money amount will be forfeited and the application will be revoked if the appropriate boring is not found at the time of verification.
For water levels available at depths up to 22 feet 2 HP Surface, 50 feet 2 HP submersible, 150 feet 3 HP submersible, 200 feet 5 HP submersible, 300 feet 7.5 HP and 10 HP submersible solar pumps are suitable.
On the departmental Darshan portal, the district-wise target of 02 hp and 03 HP will be displayed jointly, farmers can proceed by selecting the solar pump as per their requirement.
Within 14 days of the token confirmation, the farmers will have to generate the token of the remaining farmer share and deposit it online at any branch of Indian Bank by challan otherwise the selection of the farmer will be automatically cancelled and the token money will be forfeited.
Under the scheme, diesel pumps or other irrigation tools being used for irrigation in powerless areas in the state will be converted into solar pumps.
Under the scheme, the pre-installed power connections on the tube well of the farmers whose solar pumps will be installed on the tubewell will be cut off and the farmers whose solar pump facility will be provided on the tubewell will not be given electricity connection on that boring in future.
Exemption of interest from agricultural infrastructure fund (AIF) is permitted as per the rules on deposit of agricultural share by the farmer with a loan from the bank.
The farmers will not change the site after the solar pump is installed, if the site is changed, the entire grant money will be recovered from the farmer.
Bookings will be reviewed from time to time and if there is less demand/booking of a pump particular in any district, the targets will be shifted to more demanding districts.

The remaining farmers will have to pay Rs 64,816. The 2 HP AC submersible pump is priced at Rs 1,74,073. The state government will grant Rs 60,705 and the central government Rs 43,739. A total grant of Rs 1,04,444 will be received by the farmers from the UP government. Farmers will have to give token money of five thousand rupees at the time of online application. A 3 to 10 HP submersible pump will also receive a grant
In addition, a grant will also be given to the farmers on three to 10 HP submersible pumps from the double engine government. On 3 HP DC submersible pump, the Yogi government will give a grant of Rs 82,476 and the central government Rs 57,157. Farmers will get a total grant of Rs 1,39,633. On 3 HP AC submersible pump, the Yogi government will give a grant of Rs 81,110 and the central government Rs 57,157. Farmers will get a total grant of Rs 1,38,267. On 5 hp AC submersible pump, the state government will get a grant of Rs 1,08,449 and the central government will get a grant of Rs 88,050 i.e. a total benefit of Rs 1,96,499 to the farmers. On 7.5 and 10 hp AC submersible pumps, a grant of Rs 1,47,114 will be given by the state and Rs 1,19,342 by the central government. The farmers will receive a total grant of Rs 2,66,456 on these two pumps.
