Female singing scheme
Skill development is being promoted in the women’s Quire scheme. In which training programs are organized for women associated with the coconut industry. Two months of Quire spinning training is offered through this program. Women are also given a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000. If a woman wants to set up a coconut processing unit, she can easily get a loan of up to 75 per cent from the government.

Under this scheme, trained artisans are encouraged to seek assistance under Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Nirman Yojana to set up choir units. The growing presence of women as entrepreneurs has led to significant business and economic development in the country.

Mahila Samriddhi Yojana

Mahila Samriddhi Yojana is being run by the central government to empower women and help them financially. Under this scheme, women can easily get a loan of up to Rs 1.40 lakh. Not only this, women are also given a discount on interest on loans. The benefits of this scheme are given to women who belong to backward classes or whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh.

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
The central government is also running several schemes for pregnant women. One of which is Matri Vandana Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana). Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to pregnant women. The government transfers this money directly to women’s bank accounts. Only eligible women receive this money. The government has started this scheme keeping in mind the problem of malnourished children being born. The government provides Rs 6000 for child care and disease prevention. The age of the pregnant woman for this scheme should not be less than 19 years.

Standup India scheme
The scheme Standup India scheme was launched on 5 April 2016. The scheme aims at economic empowerment and job creation by promoting grassroots entrepreneurship. The scheme has been extended till 2025. The scheme was launched to address the challenges faced by Scheduled Castes, Tribes and women entrepreneurs in starting their business and setting up industries in manufacturing, service and trade sectors and agriculture.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
The Pradhan Ujjwala Yojana for women was launched by the central government on 1 May 2016. The plan aimed to improve the health of women cooking by burning wood and coal in the stove. Under this scheme, the central government provides LPG to women from poor families so that people from BPL families living in rural and urban areas can get the benefit of it.

Not only this, women use LPG gas throughout the year, for this, gas cylinders are given to them by the government on subsidy. In addition, a financial assistance of Rs 1,600 is also given on taking the connection so that they can also purchase other necessary things related to the gas connection. The government also provides EMI facilities for buying gas stoves.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
Beti bachao beti padhao yojana was launched by the prime minister on 22 January 2015 in Panipat, Haryana. The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana aims to stop the decrease in Girl Sex Ratio and empower women.

The scheme is being implemented by three ministries. Ministry of women and Child Development, Ministry of Health Family Welfare and Ministry of human resources.

Free sewing machine scheme

The scheme can be availed by economically weaker women from both rural and urban areas of the country. Only women aged 20 to 40 years can apply under this scheme. At the same time, the income of the husband of the working women should not exceed Rs 12 thousand.

Mahila Shakti Kendra scheme
